But Osvaldo Rivero, promoter of WBO super flyweight champion Omar Narvaez, confirmed that HBO has approved Omar Narvaez as the opponent for WBC/WBO Bantamweight champion Nonito Donaire. The fight is slated on October 22, 2011, and most likely to be held at the Home Depot Center in Carson, California, USA but according to Osvaldo Rivero the venue is still not final there are still a chance the fight could take place and watch Donaire vs Narvaez at Las Vegas.
For those that are not familiar to Narvaez, he has a Professional boxing record of 35-0-2, 19 Knock out and will return after winning a unanimous decision againts Colombian William Urina on June 11, 2011 at Luna Park and this will be his first time to fight at the US. the one thing I'm concern of is he suffered a left hand injury during the fight, but according his promoter the injury has fully healed. while Donaire has 26-1-0, 18 Knock Out and comes back from the stunning very impressive second round knockout of Fernando "KOchulito" Montiel on February 19 at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.
